About

I created my first “serious” piece of art when I was about four years old: a crayon drawing of a parrot made while sitting beside my dad – a silversmith – as he plied his magical craft.

I vividly remember thinking that my parrot looked so life-like that people might weep while it took flight. As pleased as I was with my creation, I felt a sense of wonder that I could make something that seemed to have a life of its own.

I’ve spent the intervening decades trying to recapture the sense that something I’ve made will excite me and also move other people…something that soars, or reaches for another dimension.

If you feel I’ve come close to succeeding in that mission, please let me know at: kmueller57@comcast.net
